AadamLink ("we," "our," or "us") operates the AadamLink website (aadamlink.com) and the AadamLink mobile application (collectively, the "Service"). AadamLink is a healthcare networking platform that connects Doctors, Patients, Retailers (Pharmacies), Stockists, Medical Representatives (MR), and Manufacturers.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To connect patients with doctors for appointment booking
• To connect patients with retailers for browsing and purchasing medicines
• To enable in-app messaging between platform users
• To process orders, prescriptions, and loyalty/wallet credit
• To send you push notifications about appointment confirmations, order status changes, and new messages
• To display ratings and reviews to help other users make informed choices
• To improve and maintain the Service, and to detect and prevent fraud or misuse

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

• Between platform users as necessary for the Service to function — e.g., a patient's name, mobile number, and order details are shared with the retailer fulfilling that order; a patient's booking details are shared with the doctor they book an appointment with.
• Public listings — a doctor's or retailer's name, photo, specialization/shop details, and aggregate rating are shown publicly to help patients choose a provider, even before login.
• Service providers — we use third-party infrastructure (such as Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications) strictly to operate the Service.
• Legal requirements — if required to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, or ensure user safety.

5. Health-Related Information

Because AadamLink facilitates healthcare services, certain health-related information (prescriptions, medicines, lab test recommendations, medical history, allergies) is stored on our platform. This information is:

• Visible to the patient it belongs to
• Visible to the doctor who created a given prescription (for their own patients)
• Shared with the specific retailer selected to fulfil a prescription, limited to what's needed to dispense the order

We do not use health information for advertising or share it with unrelated third parties.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing (bcrypt) and are never stored or transmitted in plain text. Account access is protected via authentication tokens. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

7. Push Notifications

The AadamLink app can send push notifications for appointment confirmations, order status updates, and new chat messages. You can disable notifications at any time through your device's system settings.

8. Device Permissions

Each permission is requested only when relevant, and you may decline any of them — the app will continue to function with reduced convenience.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account and health-related information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the Service (e.g., prescription history remains available for continuity of care). You may request deletion of your account as described below.

10. Your Rights & Choices

• Access and update: You can view and edit your profile information at any time within the app.
• Delete your account: Contact us using the details below to request account deletion.
• Opt out of notifications: Disable push notifications in your device settings at any time.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
